Custom Sizes

CUSTOM SIZES for black and white prints are also available.  I have recently made some prints that are as large as 24" x 30".  For prints this large and larger it is necessary to use digital processing. First the negative is scanned and converted into a digital file.  From that point forward the goal is to match the digital photograph as closely as possible to the original silver gelatin print.  I can make silver gelatin prints as large as 20" x 24".  Anything other than the standard sizes listed above are considered custom sizes.  Pricing for custom sizing is generally commensurate with the pricing listed above as long as we are talking about silver gelatin images produced in the darkroom.  Customers who request unusually large images (larger than 20" x 24") please do not expect prices to be commensurate with the silver gelatin darkroom processed images listed above.  A large digital photograph is usually a little more expensive to produce than a regular black and white darkroom processed photograph.  Please contact me if you would like to get a quote on a particular custom image size.  Please also keep in mind that the cropping of a custom image is completely up to my discretion.  When the proportions of an image are changed, the cropping will be slightly different.  I will endeavor to maintain consistency of cropping on all custon size prints. Custom sizing for hand colored photographs is another matter.  Since my hand colored prints are made individually it is almost impossible to produce anything larger than 16" x 20".  Additionally, if I try to hand color an image much smaller than 11" x 14" it becomes too difficult to place color into certain areas.  Therefore, at this time, I am not offering any custom sizing on hand colored prints.
